The two managing directors Uwe Marburger & Volker Windhoevel founded Arpadis Deutschland GmbH as part of the Arpadis Group in November 2002.

Distributor agreement with Rohm and Haas

An important and significant milestone was signing a distribution agreement with Rohm and Haas for acrylates and methacrylates. This has opened up new opportunities for a strategic set-up in the European market.

Team reinforcement & move to the Nordsternstraße in Essen

Coming from an annual turnover of 30,000 €, the small company quickly grew into a healthy medium-sized enterprise with 10 employees and an annual turnover of 15 million €. In the modernized rooms of the old coal mine Fritz in the north of Essen the team finally found a representative new headquarters for the coming years. At the same time, the company started to offer apprenticeships.

ISO Certification

The ISO 9001 is the most common and most important standard in the field of quality management worldwide. Therefore, we have documented our business processes and had them audited. Since 2008, the company is being certified ISO 9001.

Participation at the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg

The European Coatings Show in Nuremberg is the world exhibition of the international coatings and paint industry. Over the years, the fields of application for adhesives and construction chemicals have been added. Being a supplier to these industries, our company has been a regular exhibitor and can be found there since 2013. Further participations in trade fairs such as Asiacoat and Chemspec followed.

Distrubution contract with DOW Europe

After the merger between DOW and Rohm & Haas, the existing distribution agreement between our companies was renewed.  
This enabled us to maintain our position as one of the leading acrylate and methacrylate distributors in Europe.

REACH Registration

Our team ensures compliance to local and global regulatory requirements and works in accordance to REACH. Consequently, as an importer and marketer, we have decided to register some substances. This represents an important step in supply chain security.

New headquarters in Velen

In August 2020 we moved into our new headquarters in Velen. By building this modern and representative company headquarters, we are setting sail for the future - with plenty of potential for further growth.
